Melanie is an independently practicing Certified Public Accountant. Since 2002, she has provided various levels of accounting and review services to regional churches, church conferences and religious non-profit organizations. She is familiar with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, which provides accounting and financial reporting guidelines for Christian ministries. Prior to starting her own business, she was the Director of Accounting for Beechwood Continuing Care, a local, 18-million dollar organization comprised of five entities that provide a continuum of care to the aging. Before that, she worked in public accounting at the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young at the Buffalo and Hartford offices.
Melanie is married with three children. As an active member of Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church, she serves on the Finance Committee, volunteers in the children’s ministry and in the Good $ense ministry. Her professional presentations include the Family Life Network Seminars, WNY Chapter of the Church Network, Houghton College, the WNY District Wesleyan Treasurers, various MOPs group meetings and women’s events. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, spinning, running and competing in triathlons.
